EXPERIENCE

NBC UNIVERSAL / DESIGN DIRECTOR / 2020-

A Design Director of Comcast’s NBC Universal’s streaming service, Peacock, oversees all of the design for the service, including the brand’s style guides, Art Direction of Image Campaigns, Key Art, News, Sports, as well as experiential events for outdoor and digital for social media. Working closely with the product and customer journey teams to ensure design consistency across platforms to create cohesive and impactful experiences across print, video, and digital. Built an efficient, versatile in-house design team, improving performances throughout the group, prioritized by collaboration, craft, training, professional development, and diversity across multiple design disciplines.

COMCAST ADVERTISING / CREATIVE DIRECTOR / 2018-2020:

Creative and Design director for Effectv (an advertising division of Comcast) and FreeWheel (video ad-serving platform service). Led the in-house teams that oversaw the day-to-day brand standards for both companies, developing a clear brand voice through data, storytelling, and innovative design. Serving regional and national advertisers, connecting audiences by using advanced data to drive targeting and measurement, serving the wellness, health care, political, auto, and retail categories.

VIACOM CBS, AMC / CREATIVE, ART DIRECTOR / 2016-2017:

Freelance, Creative/Art Director for advertising key art, digital, mobile, social campaigns, network image, and branded content projects. Client list: Viacom Velocity, Showtime and IFC.

COMEDY CENTRAL / VP, CREATIVE AND DESIGN/ 2010-2015:

Led the creative vision for Comedy Central in all of its branding, design, promotions, and branded content. Creative and Design Director of the rebrand of Comedy Central, which ushered in a new visual identity, logo, and editorial voice Guided the Comedy Central brand creative team to industry-wide praise for numerous innovative campaigns.

SPIKE / DESIGN DIRECTOR / 2005-2010:

Creative director, responsible for leading and developing the design and creation of the SPIKE brand across all media, including on-air promotions, print advertising, digital, Upfront presentations, and other materials in support of ad sales, affiliate marketing, and public affairs.

LIFETIME TELEVISION / DESIGN DIRECTOR/ 1999-2005:

Creative directed the launch of the 2002 rebranding of the Lifetime brand, overseeing a network-wide redesign and rebranding of Lifetimetv.com, network image, ad sales interstitials, on-air promotion, and print collateral for both consumer and trade.

HBO / ART DIRECTOR / 1995-1999:

Art directed, designed and produced print and on-air promotion projects for HBO Pictures, HBO Kids and Family, HBO Documentaries, and HBO Sports. Projects included network promos, movie trailers, key art, outdoor, and show opens for original programming.

I’ve dedicated my career to building and rebuilding a variety of Brands, through storytelling and innovative visuals, always staying true to one guiding principle: that design should delight and entertain but always through discipline. I have been fortunate to work for some of the world's leading brands and media companies, including NBCUniversal, Time Warner, HBO, CBSViacom, and Hearst-Disney. I have designed and Creative Directed content for every media platform, including 360 brand campaigns, on-and off-platform promotions, Key Art, Sports activations, digital, social, cinema, outdoor and experiential. I’ve produced and shepherded holistic design style-guides, ensuring their rules and guidelines inspire and shape the entire culture of the company. While I’m a hands-on Designer and Art Director, what I love most about my job is building in-house teams who are skilled, efficient, and versatile, by prioritizing collaboration, craft, training, professional development, and diversity. Thanks again!
